What packaging materials are suitable for medical sealing machines?

Medical sealing machines are mainly used in CSSD and operation rooms to package and seal instruments which need sterilization. Common compatible materials include:

Paper-plastic pouches: The most common type, with one side made of medical dialysis paper and the another side of composite film. They're mostly used for steam sterilization, ethylene oxide sterilization and formaldehyde sterilization.

Tyvek pouches: One side made of high-density polyethylene fibers, another side made of composite film. They have excellent microbial barrier properties and strong breathability. They're commonly used in plasma sterilization or in situations where high physical strength is required.

These materials generally need to meet ISO 11607 standards including EN868-5 standards to ensure that sterilization agents can penetrate, microbes are blocked, and the sterile barrier (SBS) is intact after sealing. When choosing a sealing machine, factors like sealing temperature control range, sealing pressure, and sealing width are key references.
